Founded in 1894 by Carl Schaller., Today, Ino Schaller is still owned by the Schaller family. All products are still made using traditional family techniques. There is a 7-day production process. Figures are made out of papier-mache, which is a mix of paper pulp and glue. The first day hsicotirc family molds carved from pewter are filled with papier-mache. After this, they are set for 2 days to dry. Days 4 and 5 base layers of paint is applied. Day 6, the finer detail work is hand-painted. Day 7, the final finishing touches are applied, like wool, glitter, and fur.
