Lemnos clocks are a combination of impeccable quality and precise design. What began in 1947 as a brass casting manufacturer in Takaoka, Japan, has grown into an internationally-recognized hub of renowned designers and quality production. All Lemnos products are made carefully by craftsmen using their finely honed skillful techniques in Japan.

Miki means "tree trunk" in Japanese. The Lemnos Miki clock is made out of Japanese Zelkova tree trunks and produced in Shogawa, Toyama, one of the leading areas for “Hikimono-kiji,” in Japan.

The Lemnos Miki is designed by Yuichi Nara and is Made in Japan by woodcraft and lacquer crafts masters of Toyama and Ishikawa.

Yokan is designed by Yuichi Nara: Born in Tokyo, 1977. In 1999, he graduated from the Construction Department Architecture Course at Yokohama National University. Moved to Italy in 2000. Began designing following a period working at a glass studio and an architect’s office in Venice. In 2006, graduated from Venezia Construction University. During a trip to Noto, Japan, he was so impressed with the richness of the nature and lifestyle, he decided to return to Japan and moved to Notojima. In 2007, he established the Noto design office. Studying local materials and learning local techniques and applying them to his work, he attempts to design products that enrich everyday life. Alongside his design activities, he also grows rice in a rented untilled paddy field.

All Lemnos products are made carefully by craftsmen using their finely honed skillful techniques in Japan.

Designed by Riki Watanabe (1911–2013) - Established Japan’s first design office, the RIKI WATANABE Design Office, in 1949. His main focus was the establishment of the Interior Architect Department at Tokyo Molding University, Craft Center Japan, Japan Industrial Designer Association and Japan Designers Committee. He designed the interior decor at the Keio Plaza Hotel, Prince Hotel, etc. and furniture such as the “Himo-Isu (Rope chair)” and “Trii-stool”. Moreover, from wall clocks and watches to a public clock called “Hibiya pole clock” at Dai-ichi Life Holdings in Hibiya district, his work on clocks and watches became his lifework. He received the Milano Triennale Gold Medal in 1957, the Mainichi Industrial Design Prize, Shiju hosho(the Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon), and many other awards/recognitions. In 2006, the “Riki Watanabe – Innovation of Living Design” exhibition was held at the National Museum of Modern Art.

All Lemnos products are made carefully by craftsmen using their finely honed skillful techniques in Japan.

Designed by Fumiaki Goto: Born in 1980. He worked for a senior registered architects office, MORIYOSHI NAOTAKE ATELIER, prior to migrating to Europe. In 2009, he completed a Master’s Course at Design Academy Eindhoven (the Netherlands). He gained experience at Studio Suppanen (Finland) prior to returning to Japan. Since 2010, he has been part of a designers collective “bril” at the same time as being active as a freelance designer. In 2012, he was invited to participate in the Ambiente international trade fair in Frankfurt. In 2013, he joined the Residency Project in Sweden as an international invited artist.
